Tiwa Savage Opens Up About Being A Woman In Africa
Mavin record queen, Nigerian songbird Tiwa Savage, has spoken out on how hard it is to be a woman in Africa.
The world famous songstress took to her Instagram page to share the difficult time she is going through as she continues to make a name for herself internationally and climb heights many African artists have yet to see.
On her Instagram story (status), the music powerhouse said: “I feel like giving up; I am tired of fighting; I am tired of proving myself; I am tired of smiling.”
The artist, who has had her fair share of attacks from her male counterparts is proof that women in the music industry are critiqued more than their male equals. However, she is also living proof of unshakeable feminine power and faith. The “All Over” singer, who is currently on top of her music game has released some of the biggest hits of 2018 and has been named one of the most successful African acts in this decade.
We are beyond ecstatic to have this female pillar of strength and role model perform on the Macufe Diva Stage on the 12th October 2018.
